Childbirth services in Lohja and Hyvinkää hospitals continue

HUS announced on April 19th that the childbirth services in Lohja and Hyvinkää hospitals are closed for the time being due to a strike by nursing organizations. The second phase of the strike was scheduled to begin on April 20th at 6 a.m., but the nurses unions Tehy and SuPer announced April 19th in a press release (in Finnish), that they cancel the strike. Therefore, childbirth services in Lohja and Hyvinkää hospitals continue as normal on April 19th from 4.30 p.m.

Researchers at HUS Comprehensive Cancer Center and the University of Helsinki investigated how the immune systems of patients with acute myeloid leukemia (AML) respond to experimental immunotherapy. The study found that changes associated with treatment response were observed in different immune cell types than would have been expected based on previous research.
