Childbirth services in Lohja and Hyvinkää hospitals continue

HUS cancels the closure of the maternity units in Lohja and Hyvinkää, because the second phase of the strike by the nurses unions will not take place.

HUS announced on April 19th that the childbirth services in Lohja and Hyvinkää hospitals are closed for the time being due to a strike by nursing organizations. The second phase of the strike was scheduled to begin on April 20th at 6 a.m., but the nurses unions Tehy and SuPer announced April 19th in a press release (in Finnish), that they cancel the strike. Therefore, childbirth services in Lohja and Hyvinkää hospitals continue as normal on April 19th from 4.30 p.m.
