Data security threats, such as phishing scams for online banking passwords, are here to stay. At the same time, the need for protection against scams, identity theft and viruses has increased. Implemented jointly by DNA and F-Secure, DNA Digiturva is the first service in Finland to protect devices, personal data, passwords and web browsing all at once.

DNA Digiturva is a comprehensive security service designed jointly by DNA and F-Secure. It blocks security threats and protects all devices, personal data, passwords and internet use. DNA Digiturva runs on mobile devices with a single app, and the service can also be used on desktop computers.

“Today, everyone should pay attention to online security, and now this is done easily with a single app. DNA Digiturva protects against viruses, ensures online privacy, manages passwords and immediately alerts about data breaches. It is the first service of its kind in Finland that offers comprehensive protection against different online threats," says Cedric Kamtsan, Vice President, Mobile Business at DNA.

Many Finns are worried about their digital security. Loss of personal data following a data breach and problems caused by identity theft are seen as the most significant online threats. According to a DNA survey*, people also worry about payment card leaks, losing sensitive or important information, hacked bank accounts and viruses and malware, among other potential threats.

Parents of young children and teenagers, on the other hand, are concerned about harmful content and online scams, as was found in DNA's school survey**. The DNA Digiturva service also makes it possible to set family rules and limits on the online use and screen time of a child or teenager.

“DNA Digiturva is suited for a wide range of needs and households. Now, it is possible to protect against security threats identified in the surveys as worrisome to people,” Kamtsan says.

“Our thinking is that more people will protect their devices and data if we make security as easy and pleasant as we possibly can. Packing these crucial capabilities into one app ensures people get what they need in a single, hassle-free experience,” says Timo Laaksonen, Executive Vice President, Consumer Security at F-Secure.

DNA Digiturva is available for consumers at DNA's online store, dna.fi chat, DNA Stores and DNA's sales service. Businesses can get DNA Digiturva via dna.fi chat, DNA Stores and DNA's sales service.

*) The Digitaaliset elämäntavat (digital lifestyles) study by DNA and Nepa in March 2021 surveyed more than 1,000 Finns aged 16 to 74. The results were weighed to represent the Finnish population by age and gender.
**) The student survey by DNA and Nepa was carried out as an online panel between 10–18 February 2022. One thousand parents of children aged 5 to 16 responded to the survey.

Smartphone use is declining among small children – but limiting the use is not enough20.5.2026 09:15:00 EEST | Press release

DNA is consistently developing children’s digital safety skills together with its partner Protect Children Association, which has been organizing digital safety workshops for young schoolchildren for several years. This spring, the company also distributed digital skills exercise booklets to more than 230,000 Finnish homes. Although children are starting to use smartphones later than before, they still face major risks online – which makes digital safety skills more important than ever. The topic is particularly relevant right now, as school summer holidays begin before many parents start their own vacations. In June, many children spend long periods at home and online without adult supervision, which increases the risk of encountering harmful content or inappropriate contact.
