DNA’s 5G network has expanded to Lahti. At the moment, DNA’s 5G services are available in central Lahti. In the near future, Lahti’s 5G network will expand to new areas in Lehtisenmäki, Suppala, Villähde, Kurenniitty, Kyynärä, Taavila and Tiiranmäki.

“The construction of a 5G network in Lahti has proceeded as planned, and it increases the comprehensive mobile services we already offer in the Lahti region. At the same time, we are strengthening our 4G network and preparing it for future demands. Although the state of emergency increased traffic in our mobile networks, the service quality in our network has remained at a good level. In the future, a continuous update of the 5G network will improve the situation even further,” says Jarkko Laari, Director, Radio Networks, DNA.

DNA ensures the sufficient capacity and functioning of its connections through a continuous maintenance and development of its 5G and 4G networks. The network is still being built daily throughout Finland, and network management is decentralised to various locations to ensure reliability.

In the near future, DNA’s 5G network is expanding to Pirkkala, Heinola, Hämeenlinna, Vaasa, Seinäjoki and Lempäälä.

In addition to Lahti, DNA’s 5G services are currently available in Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo, Sipoo, Hyvinkää, Turku, Rusko, Raisio, Lieto, Tampere, Nokia, Ylöjärvi, Rauma, Pori, Oulu, Raahe Jyväskylä and Kuopio.

Smartphone use is declining among small children – but limiting the use is not enough20.5.2026 09:15:00 EEST | Press release

DNA is consistently developing children’s digital safety skills together with its partner Protect Children Association, which has been organizing digital safety workshops for young schoolchildren for several years. This spring, the company also distributed digital skills exercise booklets to more than 230,000 Finnish homes. Although children are starting to use smartphones later than before, they still face major risks online – which makes digital safety skills more important than ever. The topic is particularly relevant right now, as school summer holidays begin before many parents start their own vacations. In June, many children spend long periods at home and online without adult supervision, which increases the risk of encountering harmful content or inappropriate contact.
