Eriikka Söderström and Vesa Laisi join Kempower’s Board of Directors – strong experience to leverage company’s growth and to scale-up the electric fast-charging network

Kempower Oy’s extraordinary general meeting on 1st September 2021 has elected Eriikka Söderström and Vesa Laisi as new members of the board. Eriikka Söderström has versatile experience in international business and finance leadership. Vesa Laisi has strong background in leading the electrification of cleantech industry and scaling up business operations.
“Eriikka and Vesa bring extremely valuable expertise to Kempower’s Board of Directors and strategy development at a time when the company is growing rapidly”, states Antti Kemppi, Chairman of the Board, Kempower.
”We envisage a society powered by fully electric transportation, making the world cleaner and more sustainable. We want to create an electric vehicle charging infrastructure that is both extensive and reliable, meaning that EVs become the norm”, Kemppi states.
Eriikka Söderström has worked as Chief Financial Officer for F-Secure, Kone, Vacon and Nautor. She has had several senior finance and control roles in Nokia corporation and Nokia Siemens Networks. Söderström is the member of the Board of Directors of Valmet and Bekaert.
Vesa Laisi has had several leadership positions in global cleantech companies. Since 2014, Laisi has been the President of Danfoss Drives, a global leader in the variable speed control of electric motors. Before Danfoss, he spent over a decade as the CEO of Vacon. Laisi has also had leadership positions at ABB and Vaisala.
Tero Era, Juha-Pekka Helminen, Teresa Kemppi-Vasama, Antti Kemppi and Kimmo Kemppi continue in Kempower’s Board of Directors.
