Fraudulent emails circulating in the name of the Bank of Finland

Phishing and fraudulent emails are currently circulating in the name of the Bank of Finland and members of the Bank’s staff. Do not react to the emails and under no circumstances should you click the link in the message.

Fraudulent emails are currently circulating in the name of the Bank of Finland and members of the Bank’s staff, requesting the recipient to answer questions relating to strong identification in exchange for a code calculator. Recipients are requested to confirm the order of the code calculator by clicking the link in the message.

The Bank of Finland does not provide identification equipment or ask for this kind of information. Furthermore, the Bank of Finland never sends emails asking a person to submit online banking codes or passwords.

Do not react to the emails and under no circumstances should you click the link in the message.

Bank of Finland to transfer EUR 188 million to the State20.3.2020 11:00:00 EETPress release

The Parliamentary Supervisory Council has today confirmed the Bank of Finland’s financial statements for 2019 and has decided that EUR 188 million be transferred to the State. The Bank of Finland’s profit for 2019 is EUR 320 million. The Bank’s income derives from the implementation of monetary policy and investment of financial assets. Income covers the Bank’s operating expenses and provisions.
