Shenzhen police rely on a city-wide digital two-way radio system, designed and delivered by Hytera, for their daily routine work and key events such as the Shenzhen Marathon which started in Futian District and passed through Nanshan and Bao’an Districts. Police forces from different districts and departments oversaw the traffic and the order and safety of the event. Hytera’s private system offered seamless communications for them.

The first-aid personnel and volunteers, equipped with Hytera’s Push-to-talk over Cellular (PoC) devices, offered services to runners along the route over 40 kilometers. Leveraging the cellular carriers’ 4G/5G LTE network, the PoC devices enabled push-to-talk over a wide area with no dedicated infrastructures. Meanwhile, it required minimum training for users to get familiar with the PoC devices.
