Taaleri completed acquisition of a residential property in Turku for Aktia Residential Fund+
Aktia Residential Fund+, a special investment fund managed by Taaleri, has purchased 126 rental apartments in the heart of Turku in a transaction completed on July 29, 2022.
The property in is a so-called conversion project where an office building has been converted into a residential building. 126 new rental apartments were built in Yliopistonkatu 34 in the city center. The leasable area of the property is about 3,200 square meters. The project has now been completed and the ownership has been transferred to the Aktia Residential Fund+. The seller was AKR Tuotto Ky, which is managed by Auratum Real Estate Ltd.
“The property was completed according to plan and schedule which allowed us to acquire a significant property for the fund in the heart of a city center. We are thus strongly continuing with implementing the fund’s strategy with well-located properties in growing cities. The implemented conversion ofthe property and its technical solutions support the fund’s environmental and energy efficiency targets,” says Salla Kalliola from Taaleri Real Estate, the fund's portfolio manager.
The special investment fund Aktia Residential Fund+ is an open-end fund that invests in rental housing, residential plots and public real estate in Finland. The fund's portfolio management has been outsourced to Taaleri, where a 14-person team of experts manages the fund. The fund's designated portfolio managers are Jukka Sjösten and Salla Kalliola.

The property will be a 1,500 square meter grocery store connected to a building block of residential buildings and it has been rented with a long lease agreement. The store will be built with modern and high technical standards. The property is located in a strongly growing residential area with versatile services in the area. “This property supplements the portfolio segmentation of the fund with a strong tenant and a long lease agreement extremely well.
