DNA to collaborate with startups

Share
DNA and media group Alma Media have joined the first round of the acceleration programme Star-Tap focusing on digital service innovations. The goal of the programme is to strongly intensify the collaboration with innovative growth companies.

Major companies in Finland and abroad have increased their investments in growth company collaboration, which presents opportunities to reform the industries in the rapidly changing environment. Startup companies can develop and test new business concepts quickly and smoothly but require references, sales channels and cash flow. The Star-Tap programme has been developed to meet the demands of both major companies and growth companies.

“Business collaboration with innovative growth companies is a core part of DNA’s strategy. We want to find solutions that enable us to serve our customers even better and bring them experiences for richer life and business”, says DNA’s Senior Vice President, Strategy, Christoffer von Schantz.

After initial registration, companies will be selected based on chosen themes. The aim is to launch commercial collaboration with these companies and develop new products and services together. The programme does not primarily aim at equity investments but instead at product development, subcontracting and reselling cooperation with commercial terms. KoppiCatch Ltd is responsible for the execution of the programme with changing themes.

DNA and Alma Media will host the first programme and are searching for growth companies especially from the following fields:

  • Digital advertising: new innovations in advertising and targeting
  • The smart living room: New concepts with video, entertainment, consumer Internet of Things
  • E-commerce: conversion analytics, shop and customer care experience (online + store)
  • New approaches to news media, campaign advertising and multi-channel audience measurement

Growth companies interested in DNA’s and Alma Media’s collaboration are invited to sign up at koppicatch.com/star-tap.
