DNA Welho rollout in Finland

– 200 Mbps Broadband and the largest TV offering in Finland

Last summer, DNA acquired Welho's business operations. The final step following the merger of Welho into DNA is now completed, making Welho's high speed broadband and extensive TV services available within DNA's entire fixed network in Finland, as of today, 9 May.

The new products go under the brand name DNA Welho TV and DNA Welho Broadband , with self-explanatory size indicating names: S, M, L, XL, already familiar from Welho network.

DNA Welho TV - now even HD channels make entry into freely customizable packages

DNA became the largest cable operator in Finland through the Welho acquisition last summer, and has now the largest number of TV channels in Finland, nearly 160 in total, including 18 HD channels.

The new DNA Welho TV S, M, L, HD and Mix channel packages are now available throughout DNA's cable network. The latest addition, and the first of its kind in Finland, is the Mix HD package, where the subscriber can pick eight SD or HD channels of their own choice from a selection of over 80 different channels, including ten HD channels. Over 40 different Extra channels can be chosen as add-ons to the fixed S, M and L packages.

DNA Welho Broadband - high speed broadband now available throughout DNA's fixed net-work

The benefits of the DNA Welho deal become evident in DNA's nation-wide broadband overhaul. An extensive upgrade of DNA's entire fixed network enables the provision of high-speed broadband connections from today, at all locations covered by DNA's fixed network.

The maximum speed of the new DNA Welho Broadband connections provided in DNA's cable network is 200 Mbps, and even the entry-level connection is now 10 Mbps. Also DNA's ADSL products have been updated.

Subscribers to the new broadband products can also take advantage of the extensive Google services, offered to subscribers at no cost and delivered without advertising.

Existing subscriptions will not be automatically updated to the new products, but if current subscribers wish to do so, they may switch their existing subscription for a new product.

By acquiring Welho’s business, DNA gained a 43 per cent share of Finland’s cable TV market and an 18 per cent market share of fixed-network broadband services. Welho was incorporated into DNA on 1 July 2010.
