DNA won the Finnish Quality Award
DNA won the Finnish Quality Award in recognition of excellence and building sustainable competitiveness. The award criteria state that DNA’s particular strengths are customer focus and the ability to lead strategy from the top level to practical objectives and good results.

The Finnish Quality Association’s Quality Award is a recognition of excellence and sustainable competitiveness. The Quality Award is based on a thorough evaluation of the organization’s operations by an independent expert group using the international EFQM model (European Foundation for Quality Management).
“In the comprehensive quality assessment covering the entire business, DNA’s operational quality level and performance were thoroughly examined. The evaluation team stated in their evaluations that DNA is a strongly value-driven company, where the staff is committed to the company’s values and the values - fast, straightforward, and brave, are widely visible in the operations,” says DNA’s CEO Jussi Tolvanen.
The recognition is based on a comprehensive quality assessment
“In the evaluation, dozens of people are interviewed and the organization’s processes are studied, and it can be used to verify the level of the organization’s operations, which is then scored. Achieving a high score is only possible for a few organizations. The Quality Award is a recognition for the best organization in Finland, which has been able to implement its strategy in a verifiably excellent way,” says Juha Ylä-Autio, CEO of the Finnish Quality Association.
“Continuous improvement of operations for the benefit of our customers is in our DNA. We are on a quality journey, and we are constantly working to achieve even better results. Thanks for this wonderful recognition goes to all DNA employees,” continues Jussi Tolvanen.
Reasoning of the Quality Award Evaluation Team
The evaluation team states in their reasoning that DNA’s particular strengths are customer focus and the ability to lead strategy from the top level to practical objectives in everyday actions and further to results. In addition, DNA’s organizational culture was convincing. Three values - fast, brave, straightforward - are present in the thinking and actions of DNA employees. Values are visible in the treatment of both customers and employees. DNA is an excellent example of the intertwining of the three basic pillars of the EFQM model, namely direction, action, and results. The company was awarded the Finnish Quality Award, a certificate of honor signed by President Sauli Niinistö, and a cash prize of 10,000 euros granted by the Finnish Fair Foundation.

Koululaistutkimus: vanhempien huoli pienten lasten älypuhelimista heräsi – ruutuaikaa rajoitetaan nyt kiihtyvällä tahdilla7.8.2025 09:00:00 EEST | Tiedote
Suurin osa vanhemmista rajoittaa 5–12-vuotiaiden lastensa puhelimella viettämää aikaa tavalla tai toisella, selviää DNA:n teettämästä Koululaistutkimuksesta. Siitä huolimatta reilu kolmannes 5–12-vuotiaista viettää puhelimillaan 2–4 tuntia päivässä. Perheissä, joissa lapselle on päätetty hankkia puhelin yhteydenpitoa varten, on entistä useammin päädytty kellopuhelimeen. Kellopuhelimella on helppo rajoittaa lapsen älylaitteilla viettämää aikaa, mutta myös lykätä lapsen oman älylaitteen hankintaa.
School Survey: parents concerned about young children’s smartphone use – screen time is now being restricted at an accelerating rate7.8.2025 09:00:00 EEST | Press release
According to a School Survey commissioned by DNA, most parents limit the amount of time that children aged 5–12 can spend on their phones in one way or another. However, in spite of this, just over a third of 5–12-year-olds spend 2–4 hours a day on their phones. More and more families who want their children to have a phone for contact purposes have decided to get a smartwatch meant for kids. A smartwatch is an easy way to both limit the amount of time a child spends on smart devices and to postpone the purchase of their first smartphone.

DNA:n heinäkuun puhelinmyynnissä näkyi vahvasti edessä siintävä koulujen aloitus. Vaikka nuoremmille koululaisille hankittujen laitteiden osalta kellopuhelinten suosio kasvaa voimakkaasti, on myös uusia puhelimia ostettu kesällä monelle vanhemmalle koululaiselle. Heinäkuussa myydyimpien älykellojen listan kärkeen nousi toistamiseen lasten kellopuhelin Xplora XGO2.
