HUS client fees to rise by about ten percent at the beginning of the year

Share

HUS client fees will increase by about ten percent at the beginning of 2024. The increase is significantly lower than previously planned.

HUS client fees will increase at the beginning of the year. For example, the cost of a specialist outpatient clinic visit will increase to EUR 46 (EUR 41.80 in 2023), and the daily hospital fee for short-term inpatient care will increase to EUR 54.60 (EUR 49.60 in 2023).

The increase is based on the Finnish Government's decree on Client Charges in Healthcare and Social Welfare issued in late November. HUS previously estimated the increase to be about 20 percent.
