Sweden’s UN Ambassador and corporate leaders among Hanken’s Honorary Doctors

Hanken School of Economics will confer 60 doctoral degrees and nine honorary doctorates in connection with the solemn conferment of doctoral degrees on Friday 1 November 2024. The honorary doctors can be interviewed in connection with an event held at Hanken on 31 October 2024.

Honorary doctoral degrees for academic achievements
Roderick Brodie, Professor, University of Auckland, New Zealand
For a long and successful career as a leading researcher in marketing, in particular relationship marketing.
Rochelle Dreyfuss, Professor, New York University, USA
For successful research on intellectual property law.
Lisa Ellram, Professor, Miami University, USA
For extensive scientific contributions to the analysis of sustainability and supply chain management.
Thomas Gehrig, Professor, Universität Wien, Austria
For significant scientific contributions to the analysis of financial markets.
Dean Shepherd, Professor, Notre Dame University, USA
For innovative and exceptionally influential research in the field of entrepreneurship
Honorary doctoral degrees for successful and long-lasting careers in trade and industry as well as for societal activities
For successful and long-lasting career in the business community and for activities for the benefit of Hanken School of Economics and the economic sciences, Hanken will confer Honorary Doctorates upon the following persons:
Philip Aminoff, Chairman of the Board of Tenetor Oy Ab, Helvar Merca Oy Ab and Helectron B.V.
Henrik Andersin, founder of the Investment banking and Asset manager Evli Plc.
Nicola Clase, Swedish UN Ambassador and prior Swedish Ambassador to Finland.
Marianne Stenius, Professor Emerita of Finance and Rector Emerita at Hanken School of Economics

In connection to the Conferment Ceremony, the honorary doctors and rector Ingmar Björkman will be available for interviews at Hanken. The interviews can be done on 31 October 2024, when media can participate in an event where the honorary doctors will present their research and their social commitment.
