Discover How Kronoby Is Making Community Support Easier Than Ever - With Commu App!

Kronoby has started to work with Commu App to strengthen community and support the wellbeing of local residents. The aim of the partnership is to inspire residents to offer and ask for help in everyday situations.

With Commu, residents can offer and request help in a variety of situations - for example, spring gardening, carpooling, pet care, moving house, or peer-to-peer support.

Even small acts of kindness make a big difference, and the app makes it both easy and inspiring to help your neighbors.

"Community is one of the cornerstones of well-being that we want to support as a municipality. Asking for help and helping others creates a sense of community that goes a long way. We want to encourage each other to help when needed and build a spirit of togetherness that will help us get through the rough days in life!" says Mayor Malin Brännkärr.

The app is free to download and use for local residents. One of the most used features of the app is the verification of identity with bank IDs or mobile certificates. A verified identity provides security and increases trust between the helpers and the people in need.

Kronoby competes for the title of Finland's most community-oriented municipality - Money up for grabs!

Kronoby is also taking part in the Finnish Community Municipality of the Year competition, where local residents can win thousands of euros for good deeds. In 2024, Harjavalta won €1 300 in the competition, and now Kronoby is aiming for the top spot. The winner of the competition is not decided by the judges' scores, but by doing as many good deeds as possible via Commu.

3. Give and ask for help! Create notices asking for help and offering your help. Follow the live status of the Finnish Most Communal Municipality competition in the app at the same time.
