Leading DC fast-charging solutions provider Kempower introduces its enhanced charging solution with more power, more plugs and more data. The improved charging solution features a 600 or a 1,200 kW Kempower Power Unit connected to 12 charging points. The enhanced Kempower DC charging solution features new configurations, increasing the maximum number of outputs connected to the Power Unit from 8 to 12. These updates are designed to meet the growing demands for efficient and scalable power solutions in various EV charging applications. Kempower starts deliveries of the new configuration for More Power in Q2 2025 and for More Plugs in early Q4 2025.

Kempower is introducing More Plugs to the market, as the company updates its classic dynamic charging solution with improved technology. The enhanced charging solution consists of a 600 or a 1,200 kW Kempower Power Unit connected to up to 12 charging points, Kempower Satellites or other DC fast-charging dispensers, enhancing the flexibility and scalability of power distribution. More power and more plugs give customers greater flexibility to fit charging infrastructure to different needs, including various charging site layouts, demand profiles, and use cases.

More Plugs maximize the number of charging plugs, allowing more charging sessions simultaneously. The enhanced charging solution makes it possible to transfer more energy and serve more EVs at the same time, leading to faster return on investment for charging operators. This also results in less time spent at charging sites and more time on the move. Additionally, More Plugs mean more EV drivers can charge their vehicles simultaneously, leading to increased customer satisfaction, shorter waiting times and higher revenue at public charging sites.

“Kempower has analyzed over 23,000,000 charging sessions worldwide. Based on the data, we know that when stopping, EV drivers primarily want an available plug to connect their vehicle to the charger so they can quickly take a break and continue their journey afterward. By increasing the number of connectors in our satellite system from 8 to 12, we are meeting the needs of EV drivers and enhancing the efficiency of charging operators, as charging power can be distributed to vehicles more effectively," says Jussi Vanhanen, CMO at Kempower.

MORE POWER

Kempower's enhanced charging solution features a 600 or a 1,200 kW Kempower Power Unit connected to up to 12 charging points, increasing the maximum power. Kempower also delivers more power when and where needed for charging heavy EVs and electric fleets – super fast! The Kempower Megawatt Charging System (MCS) offers up to 1,2 MW power levels for up to 8 charging points, and maximum flexibility during the upcoming MCS transition phase, ensuring compatibility with both CCS and MCS charging plugs. This innovation will also give existing sites the option to add a further 600kW and offer more plugs to sites where they are required.

MORE DATA

Kempower’s charging management software ChargEye helps manage electric fleets or public networks by providing real-time monitoring of data and automated schedules. This ensures that both EV chargers and power are available when needed, reducing downtime and keeping operations running smoothly. ChargEye handles data from both Kempower hardware and third-party EV chargers, offering flexibility to expand or retrofit any charging networks. With 25,000 charge points and 40,000 daily charging sessions, Kempower can generate 250 GB of data each day for optimal charging station performance.
