MSc (Econ.) Samuel Wendelin has been appointed as the Director of Tesi’s (Finnish Industry Investment) Fund Investments team and as a member of the Management Team, effective 1 Sep 2025.

Enni Rautio, who served as the Interim Director of the Fund Investments team, will transition – according to prior agreement – to the role of Investment Director in Tesi’s Industrial Investments team, focusing on large-scale industrial projects.
Samuel steps into the team leadership role from his previous position as Investment Director. He has been with Tesi since 2019, and prior to that, he worked at EY, Summa Capital, and Handelsbanken.
“Tesi has entered a new strategic period, during which its role as a builder of growth has strengthened, and we are now better positioned to pursue fund investment activities at greater scale. It’s truly great to welcome Samuel into this new role from within the organization. He has grown into a top-tier professional and has been responsible for preparing Tesi’s new fund investment strategy. I’m confident that our fund investment operations will remain in capable hands,” says Pia Santavirta, CEO of Tesi.
“I would also like to warmly thank Enni, who took on the interim leadership of the Fund Investments team at the turn of the year and guided the team into the new strategic period. I’m pleased that Tesi can offer our top talent professional career opportunities in private equity. We realize career dreams together,” Santavirta continues.
“I’m grateful for the trust placed in me and excited about the opportunity to continue Tesi’s impactful work in this new role. We have a fantastic team and a lot to accomplish in supporting growth companies and developing the Finnish venture capital and private equity market,” says Wendelin.

Haasteita kuitenkin on: investointien edellisvuodelle ennakoitu kasvu jäi tapahtumatta, eikä investointisykli vaikuta käynnistyvän suhteellisen valoisista kasvuodotuksista huolimatta.
