DNA's new AI bot enhances customer experience for businesses
1.9.2025 09:30:00 EEST | DNA Oyj | Press release
The DNA Business Apuri is an AI-based tool that allows companies to improve their customer service accessibility and overall customer experience. Designed specifically for the Finnish market, the DNA Business Apuri is a reliable and secure AI bot that helps especially small and medium-sized enterprises elevate their customer experience by automating tedious catalog searches, responding to complex inquiries, and providing service even when traditional customer support is closed. The service will be available to DNA's corporate customers starting September 1, 2025.

The DNA Business Apuri responds to all customer service and sales inquiries on companies' websites or via email on behalf of corporate clients. It adapts to the company's operations and communicates purposefully while optimizing customer satisfaction and results. The tool is user-friendly and can be quickly implemented. When necessary, the AI-based DNA Business Apuri seamlessly integrates human customer service into the service process.
"With the DNA Business Apuri, communication can occur via messages or voice. It understands text, audio, images, and various documents. The AI bot always communicates in the customer's language and can use the company's brand-specific communication style and tone. In addition to conversations, it can also create plans or solution proposals for customers when needed. The bot helps our client companies serve their own customers even better," says Mari Eklund, Head of Communication Solutions for DNA's Business Division.
The DNA Business Apuri has been developed in collaboration with Oulu-based LastBot and utilizes both common language models and patented technology that tailors the responses given to end customers according to the company's communication style and goals. The service adapts to the needs of each business.
"A DNA business customer can define the DNA Business Apuri to handle customer contacts entirely through AI or only to collect background information, after which the conversation can be transferred to a human customer service representative. The service can be enriched with the company's own data sources, making it increasingly intelligent and customized to each company's needs. The DNA Business Apuri can be trained just like a new employee," summarizes Eklund.

Smartphone use is declining among small children – but limiting the use is not enough20.5.2026 09:15:00 EEST | Press release
DNA is consistently developing children’s digital safety skills together with its partner Protect Children Association, which has been organizing digital safety workshops for young schoolchildren for several years. This spring, the company also distributed digital skills exercise booklets to more than 230,000 Finnish homes. Although children are starting to use smartphones later than before, they still face major risks online – which makes digital safety skills more important than ever. The topic is particularly relevant right now, as school summer holidays begin before many parents start their own vacations. In June, many children spend long periods at home and online without adult supervision, which increases the risk of encountering harmful content or inappropriate contact.
