10.11.2025 09:03:02 EET | Kuusakoski Oy | Press release
Kuusakoski Oy has appointed Markku Multamäki as President and Chief Executive Officer, effective 10 November 2025. Kuusakoski is Northern Europe’s leading recycling company and an international pioneer in the circular economy, with a proud history spanning 111 years.

Markku Multamäki will take the helm as Kuusakoski’s new CEO, bringing with him extensive experience in industry and strategic leadership. He was previously Managing Director at Lantmännen Agro and before that worked at SSAB in several leadership roles in steel industry, and as a strategy consultant at Boston Consulting Group.
“I’m truly excited to lead Kuusakoski, a pioneer in its field and a strong international player,” says Multamäki. “The recycling industry is at a fascinating juncture: demand for materials like copper is growing, driven by the energy transition, the electrification of industrial processes and transport, and the expansion of data centres. Also, planned investments in the steel industry will eventually drive up the need for recycled steel.”
Multamäki will be based at Kuusakoski’s headquarters in Espoo, Finland, and will oversee all the company’s operations globally.
