A new electrical industry trade expo will bring together the industry and professionals in Helsinki
The first Sähkö – Electricity 26 will be held at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre on 15–17 April 2026. Over 230 exhibitors have already registered, and the exhibition halls are nearly fully booked.

The electrical industry is transforming faster than ever. Renewable energy solutions, electric transport, smart grids and digitalisation are rapidly reshaping the operating environment. The ecosystem of data centre and cloud service companies will become one of the event’s key programme themes. The Finnish Data Center Association (FDCA) is the event’s newest partner and will organise seminar sessions related to data centre projects.
The dynamic development of the electrical industry requires professionals to continuously update their skills and to be able to adopt new technologies.
Sähkö–Electricity 26 provides a forum where industry players can network and access up-to-date information on future solutions.
“The event’s seminar programme will be published in January, and a part of the scene program will be in English. Combined with Helsinki’s excellent accessibility, the electrical industry will gain a new meeting place that will attarct visitors”, says consultant and the event’s Secretary General, Kari Lilja
Electrical circuit – an area for electrical engineering students
The future employees and students within the electrical industry are an important target group for the companies participating in the event. The stage programmes offer students the latest information directly from industry professionals. In addition, the Virtapiiri – Electrical Circuit area will provide students with an exciting, interactive space featuring practical tasks and real-world challenges.
”At the Electrical circuit area, student groups can test the functionality of products and their installability under the guidance of manufacturers’ experts. Additional motivation comes from a task checkpoint pass, and those who complete it can enter a draw for product prizes. This way, we provide school groups with an engaging and fully rewarding study day”, says CEO Sallamaari Muhonen of Finnish Electrotechnical Trade Association.
At the three-day Sähkö–Electricity 26 trade expo, a wide range of electrical technology solutions and services will be showcased. The green transition and the rapid development of electrical technology will be prominently featured at the event, for example in solutions for electric transport and the ever-relevant field of lighting. Participants include importers, manufacturers, integrators, and wholesalers, as well as other industry stakeholders.
Sähkö–Electricity 26 is a professional event designed for industry planners, architects, consultants, and decision-makers, including contractors, the industrial sector, property owners, investors, maintenance professionals, and international visitors.
Sähkö–Electricity 26 is an international three-day trade expo taking place at Helsinki Expo and Convention Centre from 15–17 April 2026 and will take place biennially from then on. It is created in partnership with renowned electrical industry leaders such as ABB, Siemens, Sonepar, Ahlsell, and Airam.
