The Kaffet Helsinki café at Helsinki Airport has been recognised as the best café of 2026 – already the third award for the airport's restaurant services

The international Airport Food and Beverage and Hospitality (FAB Awards 2026) competition is held annually. The Kaffet Helsinki café at Helsinki Airport won in the category ”Airport Coffee Shop of the Year”. The criteria for the award include the diversity of the restaurant offering, customer satisfaction and value for money. The winner was selected by a jury of experts.

Helsinki Airport’s restaurant offering has received several recognitions in recent years.  For example, the food court in the departure gate area after the security control at Helsinki Airport won the Airport Food Hall of the Year award in 2024. Food Hall, located in the arrivals hall, won the FAB award in 2023. In addition, NCSC chose Helsinki Airport as the Commercial Space of the Year in 2025. For several years, the airport has also been selected as the best airport in Northern Europe in terms of customer experience.

The awards reflect Helsinki Airport’s excellent restaurant offering, which we are constantly developing with international trends and customers' wishes in mind," says Nora Immonen, Director of Commercial Services at Finavia's airports.

The Kaffet Helsinki café, which received the best of the year 2026 award, is located at gate 27 near the departure gate area after the security control at Helsinki Airport. There is also a Kaffet Bakery café in the airport’s arrivals hall. The cafés are operated by restaurant service provider Select Service Partner Finland (SSP Finland).

Kaffet Helsinki opened at Helsinki Airport in 2022. The café is inspired by Finnish traditions, craftsmanship and nature. Kaffet Helsinki serves coffee, fresh baked goods made by the café, savoury breads and nutritious salads.
