Finnish boat manufacturers prominently displayed at the boot 2023
"boot Düsseldorf is the most important boating event in the world and we will make a really significant contribution to highlight Finland as a major country in boating", says Jarkko Pajusalo, CEO of Finnboat, the federation of the boating industry.
The country of thousands of lakes and a huge archipelago is considered a superpower for boating, and this is also reflected in the offerings of Finnish boat manufacturers.
AMT, Buster, Cross, Finnmaster, Husky, Yamarin and Quarken present mainly bowrider-type open boats and day cruisers suitable for boat trips. Large luxury boats can be found in the Grandezza, Nord Star, Sargo and Targa booths. Finnboat members exhibiting in boot 2023 include also e.g. Nautor's Swan, XO, Axopar and electric motor manufacturer Oceanvolt.
The boating industry employs about 3,500 people in Finland and the net sales of Finnboat member companies is almost one billion euros. Almost 80 % of boats manufactured in Finland are exported.

The weakened purchasing power of consumers and the uncertain economic situation were reflected in the sales of the Finnish boating industry in 2023. According to statistics for registrations and wholesale deliveries, the number of new boats sold decreased by almost thirty percent from the previous year, while the net sales of boating industry companies decreased by 7 percent. The boating industry employs approximately 3500 people in Finland, and according to preliminary estimates, the net sales of Finnboat’s member companies exceeded EUR 800 million in 2023.
