Currently, over one thousand customers in more than 30 countries run their EV charging services on Virta smart charging platform, making it one of the biggest networks in Europe.

Kempower, listed in the Nasdaq First North Growth Market Finland, has seen strong growth in recent years, gaining a strong foothold in the Nordics and Europe. In 2021, the Lahti-based company’s revenue growth was 741%, reaching EUR 27.4 million, driven by strong demand across Europe.

We’re excited to join forces with Virta to bring our scalable, modular and user-friendly fast charging solutions to EV drivers across Europe. It is also great to work with another Finnish technology company to support the growth and success of both businesses,” said Tomi Ristimäki, CEO of Kempower.

We chose Kempower as our partner because of its unique DC fast-charging solution and the high quality of its products. The Virta smart charging platform paired with Kempower’s chargers provide Charging Hub Operators unique flexibility and scalability, enabling a fast launch of operations and easy expansion of the charging capacity in the future. European EV sales growth calls urgently for more extensive fast charging services, and with this collaboration, we’re ready to answer the challenge,” added Jussi Palola, CEO of Virta.
