The Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s service location in Pori is moving in December 2023. From 18 December 2023 onwards, our services will be available at the central government's shared service location in Porin Leijona (address: Yrjönkatu 6, 28100 Pori).
Services at the old address will be available until 8 December 2023.
Special opening hours in December
Because of the move, our customer service point will be closed between 11 and 15 December 2023.
Any marriage ceremonies that have already been booked will be carried out at the old service location on 14 and 15 December (address: Pohjoisranta 11 E).
In most cases, using our services does not require a visit to the service location
Most matters do not require a visit to a Digital and Population Data Services Agency service location and can be handled through electronic service channels or the telephone service instead.
These channels will be available as usual, and the change of service location in Pori will not affect their service hours.
If your issue requires a visit to our service location, we recommend that you book an appointment to avoid queues.

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency’s service location in Pori is open as follows:

- The last service day before relocating: Friday 8 December 2023 (address: Pohjoisranta 11 E).
- Our customer service will be closed between 11 and 15 December 2023
- Customer service will be available at the new premises in Porin Leijona (address: Yrjönkatu 6):
- by appointment starting from Tuesday 19 December
- without an appointment starting from Thursday 21 December
The relocation of the Pori service location and establishing shared service points for the central government are a part of an update of the central government's services and premises network. The project aims to centralise in-person appointments at the central government's service locations by establishing shared service points during the 2020s. At the same time, the central government’s use of premises will be made more efficient as agencies relocate to shared office spaces.

The Digital and Population Data Services Agency (The Finnish Digital Agency) sees to the maintenance of the Population Information System, which is the foundation for our society, and to the digitalisation of society. The agency’s tasks include civil marriages, name and address changes, guardianship and administrative guardianship, maintenance of the Population Information System, development of solutions for electronic identification, as well as the development and maintenance of centralised support services for e-services. E-service support services include the Suomi.fi Web Service, electronic messages from authorities (Suomi.fi Messages) as well as authorisation for acting on behalf of another party (Suomi.fi e-Authorization).

Detta beror på en lagändring som trädde i kraft i mitten av april. I och med ändringen har de som använder myndigheternas digitala tjänster anvisats att ta i bruk Suomi.fi-meddelanden när de identifierar sig i någon myndighets e-tjänst.

Sen myötä viranomaisten digipalvelujen käyttäjät on ohjattu ottamaan Suomi.fi-viestit käyttöön, kun he tunnistautuvat jonkin viranomaisen sähköiseen asiointipalveluun.

The number of Suomi.fi Messages users has increased by more than 800 000 users in two weeks. At the moment, 3.5 million people already use Suomi.fi Messages. This is due to a legislative amendment that entered into force in mid-April. As a result, users of the authorities’ digital services have been guided to activate Suomi.fi Messages when they identify themself in an authority’s e-service.
