Kiilto’s Board has elected Ville Solja as its new Chair starting June 2nd 2025. Ville is one of the company's owners and until now has served as the company's Chief Business Development Officer and Vice Chair of the Board. The previous Chair Erkki Solja, served for 17 years.

Ville Solja becomes the fourth generation Chair of the Board at Kiilto, a chemical industry company based in Finland.

“Taking the helm of the family business with a history of over a hundred years feels truly meaningful. Without forgetting the past, my focus is strongly on the future. Kiilto must take care of the present and ensure that its operations remain sustainable and relevant in the years to come”, he says.

This change is a concrete step to ensure the continuity of the family business. Kiilto's mission, vision and strategy will remain and will receive new support as a result of the change.

"A generational change is when continuity and sustainability are put to the test. Kiilto strives in all its activities to be an environmental leader so that both we as a company and our environment are well in 2080. Kiilto’s innovative and pioneering attitude will help us get there," says Ville.

Ville Solja has been with Kiilto since 2014 and has experience in many areas of the company.

"I am honoured to accept the role of Chair of the Board. The Board works as a team. It’s important to me that we work together to make decisions that create sustainable business today and in the future," he continues.
